Fresh operations left 30 armed insurgents killed: MoD
At least 30 armed insurgents were killed and more than 15 others were wounded after Afghan force launched their fresh counter-insurgency operations, according to ministry of defence.

Afghan Ministry of Defence just released a statement updating Afghan forces’ daily counter-insurgency operations, and said Afghan forces launched a number of operations in 10 out of 34 provinces in the past 24 hours, that during which at least 30 insurgents were killed, 15 others were wounded and 8 other insurgents were detained.
The statement brief detailed the fresh operations as follows:
The operations launched in Garmsir and Nad-e-Ali districts of southern Helmand province left 16 Taliban insurgents killed, while 5 other armed insurgents including a local commander of the insurgents Zainullah were killed in Shah Vali Kot district of the southern Kandahar province.
The operation in Jaghatu district of Maidan Wardak also killed 4 insurgents.
In the cleanup operations jointly conducted by Afghan national army and police in Andar and Waghaz districts of Ghazni, Zarmat district of Paktia and Shamulzayi district of Zabul province, at least 5 Taliban fighters were killed, 13 others were wounded and 8 other insurgents were detained.
Insurgent groups including Taliban have yet to make any comment regarding the report.
Afghan ministry of defence adds in its statement that during these fresh operations, 7 Afghan national army soldiers suffered martyrdom.
