Gen. Tadin Khan: Pakistani militants among 10 killed in U.S. airstrikes in Kandahar
The U.S. forces carried out a series of airstrikes in Maiwand district of Kandahar province killing at least 10 militants.
Kandahar Police Chief Gen. Tadin Khan Achakzai said the airstrikes were carried out in Akhtari and Band-e-Timor areas of the district.
Gen. Tadin Khan further added that the airstrikes also killed five Pakistani militants.
He also added that the airstrikes wounded 6 more militants.
The airstrikes also destroyed five house-borne improvised explosive devices, five hideouts of Taliban, two vehicles and two motorcycles.
