Ghani received new NATO civil ambassador to Kabul

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani received the NATO new senior civilian representative in Afghanistan Nicholas Kay at the presidential palace the other day.

In the meeting, both sides discussed peace process, counter terrorism, holding Peace Consultative Loya Jirga and 3rd Kabul Process meeting. Congratulating him on his appointment as NATO senior civilians representative in Afghanistan, the country’s President said regional consensus should be crated, particularly, in counter-terrorism and relations of terrorist groups with each other in, particular, relations of government with terrorism groups should be clarified so that lasting peace could maintain. President Ghani added that peace was a top priority for Afghanistan government; therefore, peace consultative Jirga will be held, adding that 3rd Kabul process meeting would, particularly, focus on peace. The NATO senior civilian representative in Afghanistan Nicholas Kay declared his full support from Afghanistan government’s all programs in particular, peace process, assuring of cooperation in connection with holding peace consultative Jirga and 3rd Kabul process meeting.
