A group of 6 terrorists detained before they could launch attack on Laghman

National Directorate for Security NDS has detained a group of 6 Taliban-linked terrorists before they could launch a terror attack on Mehtarlam city, capital of eastern Laghman province of Afghanistan.

NDS in a press release indentifies the detained terrorists as Rahmatullah the group leader, Habiburahman alas Bidar son of Nik Mohammad, Sayed Yaghub son of Sayed Hussain, Abdul Sabur son of Shah Muhammad, Ghofran son of Muhammad Anwar and Zahidullah son of Abdul Wahed.

The detained terrorists used to operate under the command of Abdul Wahed Rahmani one of Taliban’s top commander in Mehtarlad city of Laghman province, according to the press release.

Operatives of the NDS could also confiscate a number of weaponaries from these terrorists.

Afghanistan national directorate for security also adds in its press release that its operatives in a separate operation arrested another member of the Taliban group in Mehtarlam city who was carrying an amount of 26 kgs of opium to Khogiani district of eastern Nangarhar province.

Taliban militants have yet to make any comment regarding the reports.
