Herati man allegedly selling governmental cars arrested: Taliban

Afghan Taliban intelligence officials have said they arrested a Herati man who was allegedly selling governmental cars in the western province.

Afghan Taliban intelligence agency in western Herat province said in a statement on Thursday they arrested a man who was allegedly hiding governmental cars and put them on sale in the province.

The statement further said that the arrested person hails from Pashton Zarghon district of the province and was arrested while trying to sell a governmental Hylux Toyota car.

The statement didn’t clarify whether he was a previous government official or not.

After their takeover, Taliban officials called on all Afghan previous officials to hand over their governmental vehicles.
