In Kunar, President Ghani breaks ground on 200-bed hospital

President Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of a 200-bed hospital and inaugurated a new building for the provincial Public Health Department in eastern Kunar province.

The president, who arrived in Asadabad City, the provincial capital, early in the morning at the head of a high-level delegation, congratulated doctors over the new projects, and ordered the MoPH to focus on quality public service.

The new Public Health Department’s facility cost 17 million afghanis and has been built in a standard manner.

Ghani also laid the foundation stone of a 200-bed hospital and a waiting room for it.

According to local officials, the hospital and the waiting room construction would cost 360 million afghanis from the government budget.
