Karzai: Cease-fire and stopping bloodshed necessary for peace
Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai says peace in Afghanistan comes when Taliban announces ceasefire and stops bloodshed.

Talking about what had been discussed at the Moscow Talks, Karzai hoped that talks in Moscow would bring long-awaited peace, national sovereignty, and progress to the Afghan people.
At the first meeting, we addressed issues relating to an independent, free Afghanistan, where Afghans will govern, where women can enjoy their full rights,” he told Sputnik during an exclusive interview.
“We will discuss the remaining questions at the next summit, which will be held in Doha,” the former president added.
Karzai added foreign forces withdraw from Afghanistan will create stability in Afghanistan, so first we must make sure that the foreign contingent leaves Afghanistan.
He said the Moscow two-day meeting exceeded all the expectations the participants had.
