Khan invites Karzai to conference on Afghanistan

The Pakistani prime minister has invited former president Hamid Karzai to attend a conference that his country plans to organise on Afghanistan.

Imran Khan telephoned Karzai late on Wednesday night, inviting him and other Afghan leaders to participate in the proposed international conference.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that the prime minister promised Karzai Pakistan would do all it could for the restoration of peace in Afghanistan.
