Moscow: Taliban’s seizure of Afghanistan stems from US failure in country
The Russian Foreign Ministry said it is in contact with the United States about the situation in Afghanistan and is monitoring developments to decide on further steps.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said on 16 August that the Taliban’s seizure of Afghanistan should not be considered a transition, but stems from America’s failure in the country.
