Nato helicopter crashes in Logar of Afghanistan/Taliban took hostage those on board

A NATO helicopter crashed near Azra district of Logar province and Taliban militants have taken hostage those who were on board.

According to unconfirmed sources, a NATO choppers came down in Azra district of eastern Logar province of Afghanistan on Thursday.

 

Taliban militants have taken hostage those who were on board.

 

A NATO source apparently denied one of the alliance’s helicopters was involved in the incident, which was said to involve foreigners.

 

Freelance journalist Ahmet Yar, who is based in Afghanistan, reported that a “NATO helicopter” was downed in the region south of the capital but that it “remained intact after landing”. According to Express.uk.

 

Details about the type of helicopter and the identity of those on board were not immediately available.
