NDS arrests five Pakistani spy agents in Badakhshan

Afghan National Directorate for Security (NDS) has arrested five Pakistani spy agents covered themselves as health workers in Badakhshan.

The arrested suspects include two men and three women who were working as health workers in Baharak and Kisham districts but were giving information to Pakistani Inter-Service Intelligence. Officials say.

Badakhshan police Chief Ghulam Sakhi Ghafoori said “We arrested these five persons in cooperation with the National Directorate of Security (NDS) and handed them over to the Attorney General’s Office,”

Public Health Directorate of Badakhshan province says the arrested suspects do not have any documents to indicate that they are doctors or have received medical training and had entered Afghanistan illegally.

Earlier, residents of Wardooj District of Badakhshan province complained that a number of Pakistani generals have entered into their district and met Taliban commanders.

Badakhshan was comparatively a peaceful province of Afghanistan but it has been witnessing its worst security since last year.
