A new governor of Noor’s choice to be appointed in Balkh

Ghani’s spymaster Masoom Stanikzai and advisor Salam Rahimreached an agreement after a marathon meeting with Noor last night, an official claimed.

Under the agreement, a new governor of Noor’s choice would be appointed in the province.

President Ghani ousted Mr. Noor from the leadership of Balkh province nearly three months ago and replaced him with Engineer Mohammad Dawood, another member of Jamiat Party.

Since then, Atta Mohammad Noor seriously reacted against the decision and stated the time and again that no one can remove him from his post as Balkh governor, including president Ghani.

After holding fruitful negotiations with the strongman, the official said, the government delegation would return to Kabul later in the day.
