“NUG committed to hold a transparent election.” President Ghani

In 29th anniversary of Soviet forces withdrawal from Afghanistan in Presidential Palace president Ghani declared that the National Unity Government (NUG) is committed to hold a transparent election.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah in Presidential Palace.

Addressing guests at the event President Ghani talked about several issues currently ongoing in the government, including the distribution of electronic ID cards, election and peace process.

“Everyone must cooperate with us for a transparent election. The government believes in a transparent election and this national process should be implemented,” President added.

Ghani has also noted that ending the political crisis in the country is the responsibility of the government and the bitter experiences of history should not be repeated again.

“If we want to solve the problems, we must have proper decisions. All issues come under a framework then a final decision should be taken. The trust atmosphere is a serious need,” said President Ghani.

In the meantime, the Chief Executive stated that nothing can forcibly imposed on the people and an unwise decision, without consultation with the citizens, disperses people and would have horrible consequences.

Pointing to the start of electronic ID cards distribution process, Abdullah emphasized that the country is currently in a tough situation and the rulers should not make further crisis.

This comes as after all political tensions in the country, now Afghan people and parties are waiting to have the transparent parliamentary and presidential elections.
