Talking to Raha press, Abd-u-halim Sajed, the Islamic Emirate agriculture affairs office head in Badqis described drought and inappropriate ways of harvesting as reasons behind decrease in pistachio products in the province
According to him, twenty-five tons of pistachio are harvested in the current year compared to thirty-six tons of last year shows a decrease.
To compensate for this loss, the provincial agriculture office in Badqis has begun implementing some plans.
Most of the pistachio trees are in cities of Abkamary, Jund, Qades, Balamorqab and Moqor
