Police officer assassinated by Taliban in Kabul

A police officer shot dead by Taliban fighters in Qara Bagh district, northern Kabul city last night.

Del Aqa Azam district governor of Qara Bagh said, the incident took place at 11:00pm last night when the vehicle of Abdul Khaibar counter-criminal police officer stopped by Taliban militants, then shooting him.
Meanwhile, counter-criminal director of Qala Bagh’s police chief along with his five bodyguards were wounded in Qara Bagh district as well.
Vehicle of counter-criminal director hit on a roadside mine, while he wanted to help with Abdul Khaibar in Qara Bagh district.
Suddenly, presence of Taliban fighters in Qara Bagh district, Kabul-Mazar-e-Sharif highway increased concern of passengers.
Residents of Qara Bagh district say, Taliban militants are active in two regions of the district, but there is no efforts to annihilate them in the regions.
