Qureshi: Pakistan ready to host OIC summit on Afghanistan
Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has welcomed the initiative of holding OIC’s foreign ministers’ extraordinary summit on Afghanistan.

He added Pakistan is ready to host the summit on December 17.
Saudi Arabia has suggested Organization of Islamic Cooperation convene an urgent summit aimed at addressing the humanitarian crises as the winter season is approaching.
Saudi Arabia has said that millions of people in Afghanistan need shelter, food, and medicine that behoove an urgent summit of OIC.
The country has also warned if the Taliban’s recapture causes the economic collapse of Afghanistan that will threaten peace and stability in the region and the world.
In the meantime, it is reportedly said that Afghanistan’s acting foreign minister Amir Khan Motaqi had suggested the OIC hold the summit in Afghanistan.
It comes as people in Afghanistan are complaining about the nature of international humanitarian aids to Afghanistan and add that the international community is only pledging aids while they need the aids urgently.
