Security forces’ ambush kills Taliban Commander in Kunduz province
A Taliban group commander was killed and three others injured as security forces ambushed a group of militants in Kunduz province with Kunduz city as its capital, 250 km north of Kabul, on Tuesday, provincial police chief said.

“The security forces acting upon intelligence report organized an ambuscade against a group of Taliban in Bagh-e-Shirkat area Tuesday morning killing their commander Mawlawi Abdul Qahar on the spot and injuring three others,” Qasim Jangalbagh told reporters here.
Moreover, a key Taliban commander, Mullah Ashrafullah, in a separate attack of security forces was killed as a pilotless plane targeted a Taliban hideout in Ghazi Abad district of Kunar province on Tuesday, provincial police chief Abdul Habib Sayedkhili said.
Taliban militants who are active in parts of Kunduz province have yet to make comment.
