Security forces kill 125 insurgents in their fresh operations  

Afghan security forces killed 125 armed insurgents during their routine cleanup operations in the past 24 hours, according to ministry of interior.

The joint operations were conducted by Afghan National police, National Army and NDS and were launched in relevant areas of Nangarhar, Takhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Kandahar, Oruzgan, Kapisa, Zabul, Ghazni, Paktiya, Farah and Helmand provinces, ministry said.

During the operations, 125 armed insurgents were killed, 40 others wounded and one insurgents was arrested by Afghan security forces, Interior Ministry added.

The Ministry further added that following the operations, Afghan security forces seized light and heavy rounds ammunitions.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs appreciates the Afghan National Security Forces’ operations to eliminate the terrorists’ sanctuaries and called it a good step toward improving the security and stability.
