Security forces kill 18 insurgents in their newest raids
Afghan security forces in their daily cleanup operations killed 18 insurgents in the past 24 hours, Afghan interior ministry said on Saturday.

“In the past 24 hours, Afghan National Security Forces conducted several anti-terrorism operations in Nangarhar, Laghman, Faryab, Jawzjan, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Khost, Paktika, Paktia, Herat and Helmand provinces. As a result 18 armed insurgents were killed, five wounded and one was arrested by the ANSF,” the ministry said in a statement providing daily operational updates.
The security forces also found and seized weapons, the statement added.
The statement also confirms that seven army personnel have embraced martyrdom during the operations.
The Taliban has yet to make comments.
