Local Taliban officials in southern Mimroz province said they have arrested three people involved in human trafficking.

Taliban acting police headquarter in southern Nimroz province said on Saturday they arrested three people who were trying to smuggle citizens into Iranian territories.

Nimoroz province in south of Afghanistan is bordering with Iranian and Pakistani soils from where most human traffickers start their illegal journey toward Iran.

Earlier Norwegian Refugee Council officials visiting an Iranian based refugee camp said that following Taliban quick takeover of Afghanistan, up to 5 thousands Afghan refugees are entering into Iran daily.
