Taliban not partaking in Tehran summit on Afghanistan

Zabihullah Mujahid a spokesman for the Taliban told media on Sunday that no representative from the group is participating at Tehran’s summit on Afghanistan which is due on Wednesday.

“We welcome the Tehran’s summit on Afghanistan, but no representative from Taliban will be there.” Mujahid said.

Embassy of the Islamic republic of Iran in Kabul twitted on Sunday that the summit of Afghanistan’s neighboring foreign ministers plus Russia is taking place on Wednesday in Capital Tehran.

Sources said the participants will discuss issues related to Afghanistan including forming of an inclusive government.
