Taliban to present new framework of governing in Afghanistan

Taliban says the group is planning to present a new framework of governing the country in a few weeks, just less than a week after the group took control of Capital Kabul.

A senior Taliban member talking to Reurters on a condition of anonymity said that a team of religious, legal and foreign policy experts is planning to present the new framework of governing in a few weeks.

He added that the new framework would not be a western model democracy, but it will protect everyone’s rights.

He also commented on the news of reprisal and atrocities after the group took control of the country and said the Taliban members are responsible for their deeds and will be investigated.

Wahidullah Hashimi another senior member of the Taliban group had earlier said that democracy doesn’t have any place in Afghanistan, and instead a ruling council may govern the country in which Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada the supreme leader of the group would a have place above the council.
