The charge d’affaires of the embassy of Pakistan summoned by Afghanistan’s foreign ministry

Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry summoned the charge d’affaires of the embassy of Pakistan on Saturday to denounce violation of its airspace and cross-border shelling by Pakistani military.

The ministry condemned also attacks on troops of the two countries, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

The ministry explained Afghan forces’ “quick response” against anti-government groups active on both sides of the Durand Line, the statement said.

It condemned Pakistani military’s airspace violation and firing of rockets which caused human and property loss.

“The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan once again encouraged Pakistan to fight against the groups without distinctionand cooperate based on a result-oriented mechanism and by respecting good neighbour policy and trust-building,” the statement said.
