The ministry also reported 13 new deaths from COVID-19 and 381 recoveries. With this, the total cases are now 26,310, the total reported deaths are 491, and total recoveries are 5,508.
The highest count was reported in Kabul with 460, followed by Badakhshan (61 cases), Takhar (59), Bamiyan (58), Logar (34), Baghlan (34), Paktia (28), Laghman (13), Kandahar (13), Zabul (10), Parwan (6), Helmand (6), Kunduz (4) and Nimroz (2).
However, no new cases were reported in Herat as COVID-19 testing has been inactive for the last three days. Also, the ministry reported three COVID-19 deaths in Kabul, three in Wardak, two in Paktia, two in Helmand, one in Kunduz, one in Kunar, and one in Zabul in the last 24 hours.
The recoveries were reported in Kabul (300), Kunar (24), Baghlan (18), Takhar (16), Paktia (10), Helmand (7), and Zabul (6). So far, 59,172 samples have been tested in the government’s testing centers and there are 26,310 active COVID-19 cases in the country, according to data by the Ministry of Public Health.
