UAE confirms President Ghani is in Emirate
UAE has confirmed ousted President Ashraf Ghani and his family has been accepted into the country on humanitarian grounds.
UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement Wednesday that Emirate has welcomed President Ghani and his family into the country on humanitarian grounds.
President Ashraf Ghani fled the country on Sunday while the Taliban fighters had already reached to the Kabul gates but had announced it wouldn’t enter the city by force as dialogues were underway for a peaceful power transition.
