US embassy permanently stops issuing visa for Afghan MPs

The US embassy in Kabul has decided to permanently stop issuing visas for Afghan MPs, media cited sources within the embassy as saying.

Some reports citing sources within the US embassy in Kabul suggest that the embassy has decided to permanently stop issuing visas for Afghan MPs over claims of breach of trust.

The sources claimed that some Afghan MPs have illegally transferred their family members to Canada after they secured their visas from the US embassy in Kabul.

In the meantime, some other Afghan MPs have been accused of brokering for US or Schengen visas.
